As a hunter I want a rest that offers total arrow containment at least until I shoot the arrow, along with being fairly simple to install, setup and maintain. The innovators at QAD have combined everything you could want in this drop-away model.

I installed this rest on a Diamond Marquis and it was a breeze to setup and tune. It allows for horizontal and vertical adjustments and the instructions for correct setting of the timing were very detailed and easy to follow. Speaking of the timing, this rest actually has two timing mark lines that must be aligned when you are at full draw. This indicates that the launcher is at full 90 degrees up position, other drop-aways that I’ve seen require you to have a second person there to look at your rest to ensure it’s actually coming up to 90 degrees when you are at full draw. Once you have the timing cord set in place all you need to do is look over at those marks occasionally while shooting to ensure that your timing hasn’t changed.

There is an arrow capture bar above the launcher, which keeps the arrow fully contained once the rest is locked up to the 80 degree position. And this rest will keep your arrow fully contained until you actually shoot. Their Velocity Drop-Away Technology™ stops the launcher at the 80 degree position after full draw,if you just let down the string and don’t shoot. Now there’s no fear of having an arrow hit your shelf or riser if you need to let your bow down after being at full draw and taking the chance of scaring off deer because this launcher wont drop down to the shelf like the others.

I’ve been using this rest for over a month now, it has performed flawlessly for hundreds of shots and I have not had to make any changes to the timing since the day I set it up.
